Hungry Tidings: Post-Ides of March Thoughts

Today is March 17th, A.K.A. St. Patrick's Day, A.K.A 1 week before my 23rd birthday, A.K.A. 1st day of Spring Break in which I am actually conscious (1 day was spent just bleating around like a sheep and falling asleep in unsuspecting places).

My goal for today, after a long sleep, was to write. I'm trying to finish this book. Alas, I couldn't concentrate. Why not?

My future. I keep thinking "What am I going to do after graduation day? Where will I live? How will I travel? What on earth am I doing with my life?" Because I want to actually do what I want. I keep picturing elephants and traveling. So I have to follow that. I have been waiting IMPATIENTLY for college to finish so I would have no commitments and go out on the road!

But even with my lovely visions, what exactly will I do?

Current plan, which changes daily, is to save some money and start traveling somewhere cheap to give myself time to build up a travel blog and/or sell my book/other writings to make enough to travel until I figure out exactly what I am put on this earth to do. I just want to go everywhere and take pictures and write everything that I think.

Now I can go write my book.

P.S.

MFA in Children's Lit is too expensive, so I'm buying this book instead and calling it my MFA-in-a-book package.

I got into graduate school!

I got in for Hollins University's Children's Lit MFA. I am very happy about this. It's in Virginia, which is possibly the most random place I can think of, but it's a nice location. Seems very green. Seems totally wacky, which is awesome. 95% female, woo. More news sometime when I know more.

Also, I will be moving this blog soon to a more central location with all of my other things (aka my webpage). Sometime soon. That way, I can post to my heart's content and stop forgetting about it for long stretches of time.

And Happy March.
