I was wondering today why I am in biology at all. I supposedly don't like memorizing things, and, let's face it, so much of biology is that. But it's really much more. There's so much to question in human biology that I keep wondering and wondering. There are a million why's (why do polymers of protein form bonds at the top curve of a monomer and then down the sides?) and even many what if's (what if the reason for asthma is these little things getting clogged in the lungs?).
And when that doesn't excite me, I get to look at pretty pictures. Awesome pictures. And when that isn't enough, I draw them. Biology is actually extremely interesting for creative minds, because the key to it all is to visualize it.
In other class news, in creative writing, we critiqued my 'Popped' story out loud. People loved it! But then I realized I never named my character. Perhaps it's because I suck at remembering names in books.
And now time for my yummy dinner of chicken and croissants :)
